The College of Music, Mahidol University, was established with the aim of producing music students of high quality, with good taste, and with a social conscience. The College of Music, Mahidol University, is located in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand, one of the most cultural and peaceful provinces in Thailand. Close to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, by less than an hour's drive, it still maintains a great nature and environment for students to enjoy their living and learning on campus. A key strength of the College is its strong facilities, including buildings with dedicated rooms for teaching, rehearsal, organization and administration; the auditorium, the music library and centers of music electronic media/information, laboratories for music business and music therapy, the South East Asia Music Museum, the Pre-College building, and the Prince Mahidol Hall.
The College of Music, Mahidol University, has a strong faculty, with more than 110 full-time teachers on the Salaya campus. Most of these teachers are recruited globally. It is the first music school in Thailand to offer programs of study ranging from the early childhood to doctoral level, covering the pre-college, undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels, and encompassing numerous specialized fields such as music performance and education, music therapy, musicology, and composition.
The College conducts the majority of its programs and majors in English, creating opportunities for students to collaborate with world-class musicians, educators, and institutional organizations by organizing international music festivals and masterclasses, which helps students grow in an international learning environment.
