The Division of Strings, Wind, Brass, and Percussion of the School of Music, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen integrates performance, teaching, and research. The school has established several student ensembles including a student symphony orchestra and chamber groups. Currently, the division offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in all strings, wind, brass, and percussion major including violin, viola, cello, double bass, guitar, harp, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, french horn, trombone, tuba, trumpet, and percussion. The division aims to develop multiple talents with high-level performance skills. Career pathways include, but are not limited to solo performance, chamber ensemble, and orchestral. In terms of activities, the division regularly invites internationally and nationally renowned artists to visit, as well as hold master classes and concerts to enrich students' learning in multiple ways.

Currently, the division is still searching for relevant faculties aiming to continue building up an international and diversified faculty team. The ultimate goal of our division is to attract top talents from all over the world to join us together and establish a first-class music scheme in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area of China.
