Vincent Boussard
After his debut as a stage director at the Studio Theatre of the Comédie-Francaise, Vincent Boussard devoted himself to opera staging in 2001. Since then, he has staged more than 40 different operas, from Cavalli, Mozart, and Bellini to French Grand Opéra, Wagner, Puccini, up to Kurt Weill and contemporary composers.
He has worked for some the world leading companies including Salzburg Easter Festival, Opéra Royal de La Monnaie de Bruxelles, Opéra National du Rhin, Opéra de Marseille, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Frankfurt Opera, Staatsoper Hamburg, Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, Theater an der Wien, San Francisco Opera, New National Theatre in Tokyo, Korea National Opera in Seoul, National Centre for the Performing Arts in China and many others.
He has already worked with conductors such as Christian Thielemann, Daniel Harding, Yves Abel, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Lionel Bringuier, Riccardo Frizza, Alexander Joel, Andreas Spering, René Jacobs, and William Christie, among others.
Some of his productions have been TV-broadcast and released on DVD: Don Giovanni, Dido and Aeneas, Frühlingserwachen (awarded "Diapason d'or"), I Capuleti e i Montecchi, La Favorite, Madama Butterfly, Un Ballo in Maschera, and Otello.
Patrizia Ciofi
Patrizia Ciofi is universally recognized as one of the most prominent sopranos of her generation. Her international career has taken her to the greatest stages in the world: La Scala in Milan (La Traviata, L'Elisir d'Amore, Lucia di Lammermoor, Un Ballo in Maschera), the Royal Opera House at Covent Garden (Rigoletto, La Fille du Régiment, Don Giovanni, Robert le Diable), the Paris National Opera (Falstaff, Der Rosenkavalier, Le Nozze di Figaro, I Capuleti e i Montecchi, Lucia di Lammermoor), the Vienna Staatsoper (Rigoletto, La Sonnambula), the Munich Staatsoper (La Traviata, Rigoletto), the Teatro Real in Madrid (L'Elisir d'Amore, Rigoletto, Les Pêcheurs de Perles), the Deutsche Oper Berlin (La Traviata, Rigoletto, Les Pêcheurs de Perles, Tancredi), the Opernhaus Zürich (La Traviata), La Fenice in Venice (La Traviata, Pia de' Tolomei, Il Crociato in Egitto), the New National Theatre in Tokyo (La Traviata, Les Contes d'Hoffmann), etc.
She has performed under the baton of the greatest conductors, such as Riccardo Muti, Antonio Pappano, Zubin Mehta, Myung-Whun Chung, Lorin Maazel, John Nelson, Alberto Zedda, Roberto Abbado, etc., and has collaborated with directors like Robert Carsen, Laurent Pelly, Vincent Boussard, David McVicar, Damiano Michieletto, Pier Luigi Pizzi, and Franco Zeffirelli.
