Abstract
The lecture will begin with an introduction to Musikalisches Würfelspiel, and some of the computer music composition algorithms are introduced, including Markov chain, genetic algorithm, and machine learning. The lecture will be concluded with the general concept of generative AI.
About the Speaker

Former Vice-President of Peking University, Professor of Mathematics, School of Mathematical Sciences, Peking University
Wang Jie, Former Vice-President of Peking University, Professor of Mathematics, School of Mathematical Sciences, Peking University, Doctoral Supervisor. His research interests include Group theory, algebraic graph theory, and cryptology. Since 2017, he has designed and developed the course "Music and Math" for all undergraduates, which was selected as the core curriculum of general education at PKU.
