Prof. Maurizio Cianpi
Maurizio Ciampi is an outstanding Italian conductor, artist, and scholar. He graduated from the Mozarteum University Salzburg, Naples Music Conservatory, and the National Universities of Bologna and Catania. His musical career began as a pianist and organist, earning him the reputation of a virtuoso organist.
As a conductor, Ciampi has collaborated with many internationally renowned singers and musicians throughout his career. He has also conducted numerous orchestral and operatic performances in Italy, Eastern Europe, the United States, Latin America, and former Soviet republics.
To date, he has performed over 200 operas and symphonies, accumulating a vast repertoire spanning various styles, periods, regions, and composers from Italy, France, Germany, and Russia.
In addition to conducting orchestras, Ciampi has contributed to the discovery, restoration, organization, and publication of Vincenzo Bellini's ceremonial opera works.
