Prof. CAI Qiaozhong
Professor of Composition, Xinghai Conservatory of Music

CAI Qiaozhong graduated from the Composition Department of the Central Conservatory of Music with a Doctor of Literature degree and is a postdoctoral scholar in arts at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He is a Professor of Composition, former Dean and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Xinghai Conservatory of Music, a doctoral supervisor of the University of West London (London College of Music), an Honorary Professor of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Deputy Director of Higher Education Music and Dancing Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, member of China Musicians Association, Vice-president of Composition and Composition Theory Society, Director of Aesthetic Education Steering Committee of Guangdong Province, Director of Higher Education Music and Dancing Teaching Steering Committee of Guangdong Province, a candidate of the "Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University", an Academic Leader of the "Ten Hundred Thousand Talents Project" in Guangdong Province. He was awarded the Bronze Prize of the 6th China Golden Bell Award, the Second Prize of the 9th Literary Criticism Award of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circle, the Second Prize of the National Outstanding Teaching Material Award, and the National Outstanding Teacher by the Ministry of Education.
